Duo Sports Spot

Hello, I’m here to tell you about two sports I play and that you’re familiar with. I call it… “Duo Sport Spot!” Our first sport of the day is Bowling.

Bowling is a sport that started on 3200 BC in Britain. This sport consisted of a set of 10 pins or pieces of wood that were lined up like one in front, two behind, three behind, four behind. And 1+2+3+4= 10. Bowlers would have a three holed ball called a bowling ball. One isolated hole is where you stuck your thumb. The two above is where you stuck your middle and ring finger. Then you would roll the ball and try to hit all X pins. 1 turn = 2 rolls. Getting all pins is a X (Strike) Getting the rest of the pins and roll 2 is a / (Spare) every game you had 10 turns, so 20 rolls. Soon houses of alleys were built to have a ball with your friends and custom balls, weight coordinated balls, and ball boosters like bumpers and slides. And that’s bowling today.

Next, we have basketball. This sport started on June 6th, 1946, in NYC (New York City). This sport has a hoop on a backboard usually tall in height. And there’s one ball the entire game. There’s also two teams usually. And you dribble the ball to get around with it. Stop dribbling? Well, you either pass the ball or shoot it into the hoop or net as we usually call it. As this sport evolved it included small courts, BIG GAME COURTS! And that’s all I got for basketball.

And thank you for joining me on “Duo Sport Spot”
