Opening Montage:

Well, alright.  I already teared up four times.  That was too much of a satire in regard to La La Land, but it was great, so I’m at peace.  Judging by how structured this opening was towards La La Land, there is no doubt in my mind that La La Land is truly going to win big.

Best Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture:

Okay, so, no.  Nocturnal animals was amazing but, yikes! Aaron Taylor-Johnson was great, but honestly, Mahershala Ali (Moonlight) or Jeff Bridges (Hell or High Water) deserved this win more than him.  Aside from Johnson’s surprising win, I’m really happy that Tom Ford was able to receive some recognition for Nocturnal Animals.

Best Actor in a Television Drama Series:

Literally Billy Bob Thornton was the last person who should have won.  GOLIATH WAS NOT EVEN THAT GOOD!!!!!  It was just okay.  I’m so astounded.  How is this possible?  I’m so concerned.  This man was literally in one of the worst movies of the year, Bad Santa 2.  Also the shade thrown at Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul) was unnecessary.  Bob Odenkirk is a god, respect the man behind Saul Goodman.

Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy:

WHAT IS HAPPENING????  Personally, I didn’t find Black-ish to be all that funny, which is why I only watched two episodes of it and gave up.  My opinion for this award isn’t all that valid because I don’t actually watch any of these television shows.

Best Television Series – Musical or Comedy:

Alright so, considering I don’t watch Atlanta, all I can say is I’m really distraught over the fact that Transparent or Mozart in the Jungle didn’t win.  However, the best thing about this category was how much diversity is present throughout each of these shows!

Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television:

CALLED IT.  Sarah Paulson is possibly one of the most inspiring actresses of our time.  Her ability to portray Marcia Clark in The People Vs. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story was astounding. I saw this as yet another award recognizing how incredible Ryan Murphy is as a director, and his ability to envision such enormities like The People Vs. O.J. is staggering.

Best Television Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television

TWO IN A ROW FOR O.J.!!!!! I’m actually crying.   This show was my personal favorite of the year and I honestly have never been so happy for a show to do so well!

Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television:

OKAY YES! Yes, Hugh!  It’s incredible that Hugh Laurie was able to be a part of The Night Manager, considering how it has been a passion project of his for more than twenty years.

Best Original Score – Motion Picture:

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.  I have never been so happy for Justin Hurwitz before. I thought that the score from Whiplash was amazing, and then he came out of the blue with La La Land, I mean come on.  It all makes sense why the vinyl has been sold out on Amazon since it went on sale in December.

Best Original Song – Motion Picture:

I mean we knew this was going to happen.  City of Stars should be playing on the radio.  It’s incredible, and is always stuck in my head.  This was not a surprise.

Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in any Motion

Fences was possibly one of the most moving performances that Viola Davis has ever brought to the screen.  Also, this speech was amazing and she looked amazing, I started crying, this is too much.

Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Series, Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television:

Funny how Olivia Coleman just wasn’t there.  Aside from that, The Night Manager was amazing and I once again wasn’t surprised, considering Hugh Laurie’s previous win.

Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy:

Ryan Gosling.  What a man.  Despite the fact that Colin Farrell’s performance in The Lobster was AMAZING, Gosling in La La Land was sure to win.  I’m so unbelievably excited for La La Land!

Best Screenplay – Motion Picture:

YESSSSSSS!  Okay, this is amazing.  Despite how incredible every single one of the screenplays that were nominated are, Damien deserved it.  He is able to craft such incredible scripts that perfectly incorporate music and acting.  I changed my mind, NOW I can say that I have never been so happy.

Best Motion Picture – Animated:

Yikes. I’m so angry.  Zootopia was just not that great, I mean for real the only piece I liked was the sloth working at the dmv, and kids wouldn’t even have the pleasure of understanding that.

Best Motion Picture – Foreign Language:

I mean this movie was really intense, like so intense, to the point where I felt to be real and a bit disturbing.  However, IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!!

Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television:

Tommmmmmmmm.  Okay the Night Manager is three for four and I can’t believe it.  I watched it and knew how great it was, but the Hollywood Foreign Press just reaffirmed how much I enjoyed it.

Best Performance by an Actress In A Television Series – Drama:

Yeah, I don’t watch The Crown.  Looks boring, just like Downton Abbey.  Sorry not sorry.

Tv Series Drama

Once again, don’t care.  I’m not trying to be ignorant, but why is there such a fascination with the royal family? I just don’t get it.  But congrats to Netflix!

Cecil B. DeMille Award:

I wish Meryl Streep was my mom.

Best Director – Motion Picture:

Wow, this is incredible.  Five for five.  Damien, you did it.  Once again, every director in this category deserved to win, but La La Land is just winning them all.

Best Performance by an Actor in a Television Series – Musical or Comedy:

Childish Gambino with the win. Once again, I don’t watch Atlanta, but congrats.

Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy:

EMMA!!!!  Okay this is insane six for six.  I know La La Land was monumental, but this is crazy!  This film has yet to lose one award!!!

Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy:

Shocker.  Okay, I mean this is the seventh win tonight.  Anyone who has yet to see La La Land PLEASE GO AND SEE IT!!!!

Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama:

Manchester. By. The. Sea.  What a reserved and beautifully moving performance from the man Casey Affleck . By the way, special thanks to Matt Damon for passing up this one, because Casey did it better.

Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama:

Much love and congrats to my Aunt Isabelle.

Best Motion Picture – Drama:

The last award of the night goes to BY FAR (in my opinion) the best film of 2016, Moonlight.  This was the first time all night where I actually jumped off the couch and ran around yelling.  To everyone who has supported this wonderful film, in all seriousness, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart.  This movie meant so much to so many people, myself included, and I believe that this win is an amazing step towards gender equality and LGBTQ rights.
