Bad Umpire

Last Spring, we had the worst umpire for softball we could ever imagine.  

Did he even know what a strike was? Obviously not! Maddie was up to bat, she swung and missed. Strike 1. The pitcher released the ball, And she threw it outside of the strike zone! “Strike 2!” WHAT…? Okay, whatever! The next one can’t be a strike, right?  As the pitcher threw the ball Maddie saw that it was going to hit the plate, and she didn’t swing the bat. “Strike Three! You’re out!” The umpire said behind Maddie.

WHAT THE HECK!? It rolled over the plate! Was he even watching? From the dugout, Kate saw Maddie coming in.

“Wait, what? That was a strike?” Kate said, with an annoyed tone, “I hope he’s not getting paid a lot for this.”

How bad can an umpire be? It was unbelievable! Besides that, we won the game and still remained undefeated!
