“Rose it’s fine. You will be ok. You won’t be the only new person at this school.” Mom said, trying to make me feel better.

“You can say that as many times as you want but I’m almost 100% sure that I’ll be the only one there with Autism”..

“Well, you have a good day at your new school honey if you need anything just call me. I love you, bye!”

As I walked through the hallways to my first class my hands started shaking and I had really bad first day jitters, it felt like I had frostbite. I could feel my face burning up with fear and embarrassment. As I walked in to my first class, everyone was staring at me like I had four heads. As I sat down this girl with blond hair and icy blue eyes gave me the evil eye and sort of giggled. I can already tell what my school year is going to be like.

A couple days later was a talent show for our school. I wasn’t sure what to do but I was probably going to sing and once I got on stage my heart was beating so fast. I started to sing the whole crowd started to cheer so loud.
