Medford Music

Orchestra is  a great program at Medford Elementary. The teacher there is Mrs. Catpano, she is really nice. I’ve been playing the cello for two and half years. My friends play bass, violin, and viola. I am in District Wide Orchestra and NYSSMA. Playing an instrument is really fun. If you choose an instrument — pick a good one!

I play in band, which is very fun and entertaining. My band teacher is Mrs. Doherty. You can have a chance to set get into NYSSMA, which you have to play high notes. I’ve been playing for two and a half years and I’ve been at three concerts, which were great. I play the trumpet and I’m good at it. I’ve been to NYSSMA before. I was great. My friend plays trumpet with me and my other friend plays saxophone. I love playing the trumpet. It’s a great instrument.
