The Conjuring: Last Rites, also known as the Conjuring 4, was recently released on September 5th, 2025.
People often wonder if it will be the last one, which it most likely is. It focuses on one of the Warrens’s most challenging case, which is based off a true story, the alleged haunting of a farmhouse in Rhode Island experienced by the Perron family in 1971.
The movie is currently ranked 3.2 stars, most people dispute the claim that it is based off a true story, with most critics and even family members feeling the film is exaggerated and not overly true, though the investigation and the Perron’s family’s involvement is real.
To best watch it, see it in 4D. The film began with a flashback from the previous movie in the series, and the jump scares started almost immediately.
The seats moving forward to help build up the suspense while watching the film helped and made it more realistic and enjoyable.
Victoria Sommer, a Conjuring fan, says “I really loved the new conjuring movie because it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. The suspenseful, creepy atmosphere was done so well that I couldn’t look away and enjoyed watching every bit of it. I also enjoyed how the story tied into the other conjuring films while also feeling fresh and exciting. The acting made the characters feel real, and the special effects added to the chilling experience was crazy. Overall, it was everything id hoped for in a horror movie scary, intense, and unforgettable. I totally recommend watching that movie as your next horror film in 4D for a great experience.”
