Calling all Raiders! This Homecoming season so far has been a blast with Raider Bowl kicking things off. But why stop there? There are many more events you can do to stay involved with this homecoming season.
Float site
Float site this year has changed a little bit for Pat-Med. This year all grade levels will be meeting at the high school at certain locations to prepare for their float.
Freshman: East Gym Lobby (by CTE hallway)
Sophomores: Rm 133
Juniors: Library
Seniors: Music Suite (band room)
Float week will be from 2:00-5:00 Thursday (9/25) and Friday (9/26). The following dates and times for Float site next week will be posted on Student Square. Make sure you’re ready to make flowers and bring a friend to Float site!
Skit
If you’re into acting, having fun, and making new friends, the Homecoming skit is the place for you! Each grade performs a skit based on the homecoming theme each grade receives. In this skit you will be required to: act, sing, and have fun!
Ask your class advisors for more information on how you can be involved in skit!
Homecoming Parade
On Saturday, October 4th, the homecoming parade will take place on Main Street. The parade consists of our very own football team, cheerleaders, Raiderettes, marching band, homecoming court, and your classes floats! If you helped out with your classes floats or involved in skit, you get to march behind your float all the way down Main Street! See your advisors for meeting time and meeting place.
Homecoming Game
Once skit is over, the homecoming game will take place on our very own turf. This year, our varsity football team will be playing Bay Shore High School. During the game you’ll be able to watch our cheerleaders, Raiderettes, and marching band during halftime. Make sure you show up in Raider colors! You don’t want to miss out on the most important game of the season.
Extra Information
The day of homecoming there will be a senior slideshow presented at the end of our skit! If you’d like to send photos for the slideshow, please talk to Mr. Petker or Ms. Silsbe for more information.
This year, we will be having our very first pep rally in October 3rd! This means that the school day will have an adjusted schedule where we end the school day two hours early. During the pep rally you’ll be able to watch our cheerleaders, Raiderettes, and marching band perform! Along with that, all of our fall sports will run out and make an appearance on the field. We will also be announcing the new school mascot.
You don’t want to miss out on all the fun Raider activities the high school has to offer you. Whether you’re a freshman trying to get involved in your class, or a senior wanting to make lasting memories you’ll never want to forget, this homecoming season is one you don’t want to miss!
