Caitlin Dellecave, a senior on the Patchogue-Medford Volleyball team was recognized as Athlete of the Month for September. On the high school volleyball team since middle school, she is now the captain of the varsity team during her senior year.

This month, Caitlin was acknowledged for reaching a milestone in her volleyball career. She got her 1,000th assist and will now hold the school record for reaching that number.

“Volleyball is all about communicating with your teammates and it’s a high speed game which makes it so fun,” said Caitlin Dellecave.

Also, by volunteering at clinics and summer camps throughout the year for children in middle school, she is teaching them useful skills to know so they can also be successful in sports.

Caitlin will be attending Stony Brook University in the fall of 2020 to continue playing another sport she loves, lacrosse.
