March is Women’s History Month
Virginia Woolf (1882-1941) was an English writer who published about fifteen renowned novels in her lifetime. She was a modernist of the 20th century whose most famous works included—The Waves, A Room of One’s Own, Mrs. Dalloway, To the Lighthouse, and many others. She was a strong advocate of gender equality and her ideas helped shape modern concepts about sexuality, mental health, and feminism.
