Letter from the Editor
PMHS senior, Sarah Terletsky will act as the newspaper Editor in Chief for the 2022-2023 school year.
Dear Readers,
I am delighted to be the new Editor in Chief of the Red and Black. This school year, let us look forward to a year filled with creativity, growth, and productivity. Additionally, I’m hoping to see many new and old members of our team who can bring bright ideas and revive nostalgic favorites of our news site, including our high school broadcast, Raider TV. We plan on providing the same reliable news, from local to global stories, and engaging entertainment for our wonderful readers.
I have five goals in particular for this school year, one of them being to bring back old favorites like Raider TV, podcasts, and other multimedia to keep our news site diverse and interesting. I would also like to see an increase in productivity so that our website always has a new set of pictures, videos, articles, and more to inform our audience of what’s going on at Patchogue-Medford and to pique every type of reader’s interest. However, all of this work requires a large, dedicated team so it is important that the Red and Black club recruits as many students as possible. If we work at these goals together we could even win a few awards for our website to boast to our community.
I would like to thank Mrs. McKeough for giving me this incredible opportunity. I would also like to thank the members of our team who have utilized their talents and sacrificed their time to contribute to the Red and Black.
If you are someone who is looking to improve old skills or learn new ones, we would love to see you at our first meeting of the year! To find out when the first meeting is follow us on Instagram by searching @pmhsredandblack or scanning the QR code.
