Yum!

Recently, Starbucks has been coming out with different drink creations some of them include the Unicorn Frappuccino which was blowing up on social media because of the amazing look and colors used to make it. Unfortunately, this drink was only available for a limited time and is no longer available. Continuing with the magical theme, another drink many have been obsessing over is the Mermaid Frappuccino with its summer look and vibrant colors. And the magic of Starbucks drinks continues with the Dragon Frappuccino, a spin off the classic green tea Frappuccino that has customers going crazy. Unfortunately, when I was speaking with the barista, she had informed me that she was unable to make the Mermaid or Dragon Frappuccinos anymore because Starbucks does not have all the ingredients to make it. So, what could I try?

Another famous drink Starbucks brought back that makes you think of roasting marshmallows around a campfire is the S’mores Frappuccino. Finally, adding to the list of drinks in demand is the Midnight Mocha Frappuccino. This layered drink is becoming more and more popular and has only been out for a few days. Fortunately, I was able to try the S’mores and Midnight Mocha Frappuccinos.

When I first held the Midnight Mocha Frappuccino, it had a distinct smell of mint chocolate. From the first sip, I could taste a strong, but chocolatey flavor with a strong mint aftertaste that reminded me of the Girl Scout cookie Thin Mint. There was a layer to the drink which was whipped cream in between the layers of the actual drink. As the whipped cream slowly mixed in with the Frappuccino it gave a lighter flavor to it. I would not get this drink again simply because it was very strong in the beginning and the mocha flavor was very overpowering.

The S’mores Frappuccino needed two sips. The first sip I took I had tasted like a regular milkshake but when I took a second sip all I could taste was marshmallow. There was a layer of chocolate on the bottom which makes it taste like a real s’more when it combined with the drink. The aftertaste did consist of a hint of gram cracker; but overall, it was a sweet marshmallow sensation. This drink reminded me of camping and I recommend that you try this drink if you love marshmallows because that was the main flavor of this drink. Go out and give it a try and post your comment. Who knows — there might even be new items on the menu by your next visit.
