Dinner and a Show
A review of the All-School Musical’s Annual Pasta Night
Friends and family of the cast of Guys and Dolls gathered in the school cafeteria for the annual pasta night on January 16th.
On this night, students serve audience members salad, spaghetti and meatballs, and brownies all of which are very delicious and donated by Chef Winn, the head cook who has been contributing to this exciting evening for many years now.
Following the meal, students in the cast and pit performed several songs from the show, such as classics as “Fugue For Tinhorns” and “Luck Be A Lady”, but not too much was performed to give away the plot and excitement of the show.
The purpose of the night was to raise money for the overall production of the show, gather money for scholarships at Scholarships and Awards Night, and to give a sneak peak as to what a great show the cast will be putting on this year.
With over one hundred people in attendance, the cast was busy serving plates of food but also had a great and lively audience to perform their songs for.
Mr. Reich, the director of the show, stated “I am very happy with how everything went. ‘Fugue for Tinhorns’ was great, and there are some things to be fixed, but the night went well.”
Here is a video of one of the many songs performed at pasta night. ___________________
