What is the “rainy day blues” you may ask? Well, it is the fact that you feel sad because it is raining outside. People hate rain because it is hard to drive in and hard to do things you really want to do such as play outside or go to the beach.

I mean there are things you can do when it is raining outside like sing and dance in the rain, play with toys in puddles, and catch rain drops in your mouth. Those are only a few things you can do; but, the best thing to do is to use your IMAGINATION.

When it is raining outside people normally like to do indoor activities like draw, read, and watch movies. Conquer the fact that your day has been ruined by the rain but don’t hate the fact it is ruining your day. This is a how to guide to conquering your Rainy Day Blues:

  • Don’t hate the rain, enjoy it. The rain gave you fertile land.
  • Imagination takes you so far — build forts made out of pillows and blankets.
  • Make a family movie night and just listen to the rain as it hits the window.

People make it seem like that rain is all bad. Yeah, we have thunder and lightning which is scary but you know it’s okay. You know you can make a playlist of your favorite songs to cancel out the rain, thunder, and lightning.

When it’s raining I personally like to sleep which can ultimately conquer the day. When it’s gloomy out, it’s so easy to want to throw on a sweatshirt and dress as gloomy as the weather. But if you put on a nice outfit, you’ll feel better, regardless of what’s going on outside your windows.
