Mr. Carroll, our music department’s newest teacher, conducting 9th period Wind Ensemble.

I recently had the opportunity to sit down and chat with PMHS’s new band teacher, Mr. Carroll. 

Fun Facts about Mr. Carroll: 

Mr. Carroll has 2 pets: a dog named Nala and a cat named Cudi. He’s also expecting a daughter in March, he played baseball in high school, and is in a competitive softball league on the weekends!  

Q: What classes do you teach? 

A: Concert Band, Wind Ensemble, and Brass and Percussion lessons. I also direct the Patchogue-Medford Marching Band! Come see one of our performances tomorrow during the football game (September 23rd) or October 22nd at homecoming! 

Q: How long have you been teaching in the district? 

A: I have been teaching for a total of 9 years, 3 years at Canaan and Eagle, 1 year at the high school, 6 years at South Ocean, and now I’m back here! 

Q: What are your goals for this school year? 

A: My goal for this school year is to maintain the high level of performance and the success of Patchogue-Medford’s music program. 

Q: What is one thing you’re looking forward to this school year? 

A: I’m looking forward to getting to know my students even more!
