Who will you be rooting for to make it to Super Bowl LIII?

Starting with the AFC we have the young superstar in Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs taking on who most call the greatest ever — Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. It will be a week six rematch and as proven in that game both, teams can put up major points. The Patriots ended up securing the victory 43-40 during the regular season; but, this outcome may be different.

The Chiefs have simply the BEST offensive attack the NFL has seen in years. Patrick Mahomes is already getting compared to Hall of Fame quarterbacks like Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers. He is only in his first season as a full time starter and already is only the third quarterback in history to throw for 50+ touchdowns in a season. Along with him comes Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce, two of the top skills players in the world. Tyreek may be the fastest player in the world with a set of hands, and this year, Trav has proven to be the best tight end in the league.

Onto the Patriots, they aren’t the Pats of old, but they have proven against the Chargers that they still got some juice. Tom Brady has not played to his standard all season really but when it counted most in the divisional, he turned it up and crushed Philip Rivers. The run game has also been stout, and the defense is getting better as the weeks have gone on.

Although Tom Brady is a living legend, the Patriots have to travel to Arrowhead, and I believe Mahomes and weapons will be just too much to handle this time. 35-24 Chiefs, and they will advance to the big game.

On to the NFC, it’s once again the showdown of an up and coming star in Jared Goff and the Los Angeles Rams, taking on another living legend and maybe the most accurate quarterback in NFL history, Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints. This is again a rematch from week nine where the Saints did take the win 45-35.

The Rams, are loaded, on pretty much all sides of the ball. They have their star quarterback in Jared Goff, arguably the best running back in the league in Todd Gurley, and receivers like Brandin Cooks and Robert Woods who can get it done. And that’s just the offense. On D they have the two best interior linemen this league has seen in a long time in Aaron Donald and Ndamukong Suh. As well as a loaded back seven featuring Marcus Peters, Aqib Talib, and Lamarcus Joyner. Everything is percolating for them, and this could very well be their year.

On the other side, Drew Brees, Michael Thomas, and Alvin Kamara run the show. This trio is virtually unstoppable when they’re at their best. And when it really matters, who else are you really going to put your trust in to win you a game other than Drew Brees. Their defense is led by Cam Jordan, and Marshon Lattimore, who in many eyes is the best corner in football.

It’s going to be a shootout in the Superdome, but I believe the Los Angeles Rams will come out victorious with a repeat score of week 9 45-35.

Let’s go watch some football!
