Old People is an excellent horror movie that is perfect for spooky season.

Halloween is right around the corner and there is no better time to watch horror movies than now. If you are looking for a thrilling movie, look no further than Old People, which was recently added to Netflix. Old People is a German horror film directed by Andy Fetscher and it is rated #8 on Netflix’s Top 10 Movies list.

This film begins by explaining an ancient legend which claimed that weak, elderly people would become possessed by a dark power that drove them to a blind, violent rage. This legend is quickly subtantiated when the audience is introduced to a city overrun by zombie-like senior citizens that murder members of the younger generation and wreak havoc. Immediately afterward, the audience is introduced to a happy family traveling to the countryside for a wedding. However, as the movie progresses their family is slowly torn apart as tension builds between them, and the evil power seeps into the local elderly citizens, igniting an apocalypse.

Old People examines the neglectful and abusive treatment that elderly citizens face from their families and nursing homes. It also demonstrates how the suffering of the elderly population affects society as a whole and damages family relationships.

If you are a fan of drama, suspense, and gore, this movie is perfect for you. It takes a deep dive into fragile, imperfect family relationships that spark conflicts, and strong relationships held together by undying love and sacrifices. It also never fails to keep you on the edge of your seat with plot twists and a carefully built unsettling atmosphere. Plus, it is not shy about grit and carnage. Additionally, unlike other stale, overdone horror movies, Old People is artfully filmed with interesting camera angles, unusual lighting, and high-quality special effects.

I highly recommend that you add Old People to your Halloween watchlist.
