As the year ends, the most wonderful time of the year is coming! Whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa or just love receiving gifts, the smell of snow and hot chocolate warms our hearts during the wintry weather. But most importantly, holiday decorations are a must! Some start decorating once Halloween is over while others decorate after Thanksgiving. But when do you start decorating for the jolly season?
Some argue that decorating after Thanksgiving is the proper way to appreciate the end of fall and take out the decorations from the attic. Most people skip over Thanksgiving without giving it the proper attention it deserves. Obviously, the turkey, corn, and mashed potatoes fill us with joy on November 27th, but we only pay attention to it for one day.
Others argue that we should start decorating for the holidays once we pack up the Halloween decorations and take off our costumes. Influencers all over social media platforms say how decorating earlier makes them happier and more excited for the holidays.
Both sides are completely understandable. We should give Thanksgiving all the love it can get, but the moment the Starbucks holiday menu comes out, and Mariah Carey sings her iconic “it’s time,” how could you not take out the decorations.
So, when do you start decorating for the holidays?
