If you could have anyone at your dinner table, who would it be?

Imagine sitting at your table on Thanksgiving and looking over to see a celebrity eating a turkey leg and some mashed potatoes. But, the question is, if you had the choice to pick which celebrity would be sitting there, who would it be and why?

We asked some of Patchogue-Medford’s faculty to give us some of their personal responses about who they would choose.

Mrs. Leal (Spanish teacher): “Justin Trudeau (Prime Minister of Canada) because he is a global citizen and we need more of those kind of people in our country. I might also choose Obama or Trump just to pick their interesting brains.”

Ms. Perera (AP Language and Philosophy teacher): “Benedict Cumberbatch, so I can bask in the warm glow of his personality.”

Ms. McGourty (Spanish teacher): “Michael Jackson because he’s the G.O.A.T. I’d want him to sing “Man in the Mirror” and teach me how to moonwalk. I’d ask him if he killed himself or if the doctor was a dirty cowboy. #June25th #Don’tforget #BlackorWhite #Thriller”

Mr. Carpluk (APUSH and AP Seminar): “Prince, because he is the true G.O.A.T and he had much more talent than MJ #McGourtyknowsnothing.”

Mr.Godfrey (Social Studies): “David Lee Roth because — why not? He’s a god.”

Mr. Petrosino (Math teacher): “Jimmy Fallon because he is hilarious.”

Mr. Weinman (PE teacher): “Thomas Jefferson because he was the founder of the university I went to and he was a very influential man.”

Mrs. Sullivan (AP Lit, Eng.11, and Journalism) “Lin-Manuel Miranda because he has a fascinating brain that stirred up something new and I love creative minds. He could also provide a history lesson to everyone at the table.”

It was very interesting to see the different responses the various teachers stated.
