All of these “parts of the rainbow” are key components of this “club”. We are all about becoming one big family and welcome new members!

“I’m not in theater class. I can’t attend Theater Extra Help!”

Yes, you can! Theater Extra Help is for those who want to do scene work, play theater games, view and discuss different performance mediums, gain more acting experience, or even meet new people and step outside their comfort zones.

In Theater Extra Help, we also do improvisations. These are various games where you are with a partner or a group, creating a skit without a written script.

We brainstorm ideas of small presentations, do cold reads (reading a script for the first time), rehearse scenes, and lastly, just enjoy a fun and comfortable atmosphere.

You may be passionate about theater but were never able to fit it into your schedule, or you may have always wanted to join theater but just didn’t know where to begin. If either of these things apply to you, then you are a perfect candidate for Theater Extra Help.

If I didn’t do theater, I would have never met such inspiring, fun, and overall wonderful people.

— Bianka Rowe

If you’re interested in joining, please see Ms. Carota in room 382 for any details and to be added to the Schoology group.

Ms. Carota, advisor of the group, suggests, “The thing that I love about theater is that it has become more than I thought originally in that it brings people together that might not have had a relationship otherwise.”

Bianka Rowe, member of the group, states, “If I didn’t do theater, I would have never met such inspiring, fun, and overall wonderful people. Theater is a place where you can be free; where nobody will judge you for being your true self.” Rowe also adds that being a part of theater has helped her be able to talk to people because, as many of us know, talking to people can be hard.

Don’t be shy! We are a welcoming community that will accept anyone.
