Phoebe is in her senior year of high school and has been a dedicated part of the school newspaper and Journalism class since her freshman year. Although she loves writing for the Red and Black, her passion is with Radier TV where she has the title of Executive Producer. During the fall sports season, Phoebe is on the Raiders Varsity Tennis team; however, she doesn’t plan on continuing tennis in college. Somethings what Phoebe enjoys doing is playing the guitar, singing, hanging out with friends, and enjoying chicken cutlets with mashed potatoes. She hopes to go to Stony Brook University, majoring in Journalism to hopefully later on become a media editor.

Solo cups are made of plastic called polystyrene, and although polystyrene is not widely recycled, you can still recycle solo cups through various recycling programs. It is important to recycle these cups because polystyrene is made from petroleum products, therefore it is not biodegradable.
